Licking provides many benefits for your dog. That’s why we’ve developed a line of feeders made for licking, called Enrichment Feeders, which allow you to put food inside for your pooch to lick out. We have a wide variety of Enrichment Feeders, including eMats (also known as Lick Mats), eTrays, eBowls, and eCoins.

These Enrichment Feeders come with different levels of difficulty and a wide variety of fun and interesting pattern designs that do a great job of retaining the treats. Patterns that are shallower and have greater spacing make it easier for dogs to lick the food out. Patterns that are deeper, more complex, and have tighter spacing present more difficulty. The higher degree of difficulty leads to longer licking times. Enrichment feeders are a great way to give your pup a long-lasting treat without giving them too many calories.

Our Enrichment Feeders are heavier and sturdier than others on the market. We made them this way, so they stay in place and don’t move around too much, frustrating your dog’s licking efforts. This also makes them easier to handle and manage, especially when putting them in the freezer. Many types of foods can be used with our Enrichment Feeders. Peanut butter or plain yogurt are obvious choices. Just makes sure they don’t contain added sweeteners, such as xylitol, which can be toxic for dogs. Mashed up or pureed fruits or vegetables are also great. Even ground meat and fish works. Whatever food you choose, just make sure they’re good for your fur baby.

Once you spread the food into the Enrichment Feeders, you can consider freezing them, so you have them premade and handy for when you need them. Freezing the Enrichment Feeders increase the licking challenge and extends the amount of time it takes your dog to finish licking up all the food. For example, our Bones pattern design is the easiest for dogs to lick. The pattern is shallow and has greater spacing making it easier for dogs to lick the food out of the pattern. Our Honeycomb has intermediate difficulty level, while our Zombie, Flower Power, and Jigsaw designs are all more complex and difficult.

Easy to Clean: To make your life easier, choose Enrichment Feeders that are dishwasher safe. All SodaPup toys are top rack dishwasher safe. Some Enrichment Feeder designs are complex and retain foods very well in the tight corners of the design. To clean these Feeders you can use a scrub brush with soap and water. Letting them soak for a period of time will also help. In general, the more complex the pattern design, the tougher it may be to clean.

Dog-Safe Materials: Safety is of utmost importance, especially when you’re dealing with products that involve food. All SodaPup toys are made from our proprietary non-toxic materials that are food-safe, dog-safe, BPA- and phthalate-free.

Size & Weight: Enrichment Feeders need to have some weight to them so that they stay in place and not frustrate the licking efforts of your dog. This is especially important for very large dogs with powerful tongues. We designed our Enrichment Feeders to be heavy enough, so they stay in place. The size of Enrichment Feeders is also an important consideration. The larger the size, the more food it can hold. SodaPup offers Enrichment Feeders in two sizes: large and small.

Durability

We specialize in innovative toys for power chewers. SodaPup natural rubber toys are made with a proprietary power chewer compound called PuppyPrene. Our rubber toys come in three compounds: Original for most power chewers, Puppy (only available in pink) for the tender mouths of teething pups, and Magnum, our signature black formula for dogs that destroy everything! Note: not all pink toys are made for puppies. SodaPup nylon toys are made from our proprietary PETstrong material. Our nylon toys are super durable and designed to be one size-fits-all: thin enough for the smallest chewers yet large enough for bigger dogs. While nearly all of our toys are made from nylon or natural rubber, we do have a few toys that are made from TPE (thermoplastic elastomer), which is a form of synthetic rubber.
